InstaPay is a digital payment platform enabling seamless transactions directly from social media platforms. It supports various payment methods and offers features like international money transfers, QR code payments, and personalized payment addresses.
How do I set up my InstaPay account?
Sign up by selecting your account type and providing basic details like your name, mobile number, and password. After completing your profile with a “username” and “city,” it’s highly recommended to set up your receiving account(s), enable verification code preferences, link your Instagram account in “My Social Network Accounts” (if applicable), and complete your identity verification (KYC). This will unlock all features and maximize your InstaPay experience.
How can I add a beneficiary?
Go to the “Beneficiaries” section, click “Add Beneficiary,” and complete the form. Enter the beneficiary’s details, such as name, address, and relationship, and select their preferred payment channel (Bank Account, Mobile Wallet, Crypto Wallet, or InstaPay Wallet ID). Make sure to provide accurate information to ensure successful transactions.
What is the InstaPay Payment Address?
A unique, customizable link accessible from the “My Payment Address” section in your dashboard. Share it on social media to receive payments instantly through various methods, including InstaPay Wallet, credit/debit cards, and over 300 local payment options. Users can also scan your unique QR code to pay you directly.
How can I set up two-factor
Go to “Settings” and select “Verification Code Preferences.” You can enable or disable the following options (at least one must be enabled): Email Address, Mobile Number, or Google Authenticator. To set up Google Authenticator, download the app, scan the QR code presented on your InstaPay screen, and enter the generated code. This will be required each time you log in or validate a payment. SMS and email verification are also available as alternatives.
What payment methods does InstaPay support?
Payment Methods for Transfers/Services: Users can pay using a wide range of methods, including credit/debit cards, bank accounts, PayPal, mobile wallets (upcoming), and various local payment options (upcoming), depending on their country. Payout Channels for Money Transfers: Users can send money to bank accounts, mobile wallets, mobile money, cash pick-up locations, or payment cards. Bank transfers may take 5 minutes to 48 hours, while other methods are usually instant or same-day, depending on the country.
How can I withdraw funds from my InstaPay Wallet?
Go to “My Wallets,” select the currency balance you wish to withdraw from, and click “Withdraw.” Choose your registered receiving account, such as a bank account or mobile wallet, and confirm the transaction. Funds will be transferred based on the payout channel selected—instantly or within the processing time for your region.
How can I earn money through InstaPay?
Join our referral program by sharing your unique referral link, accessible from the “Referrals” menu in your user dashboard. You’ll earn a commission on every international transfer made by anyone who registers using your link. What Documents Are Accepted for Identity Verification (KYC)?
For individuals: For individuals, our Know Your Customer (KYC) process involves collecting personal identification information, proof of address, and other relevant documents to verify the identity of our users securely and efficiently. Identity Document:
Make sure you have a government-issued ID with a photo. It needs to be written in the Latin alphabet. If it’s not, you’ll need to provide a certified translation.
We accept:
A valid national ID card.
A valid passport.
A valid residence permit (accepted only if issued by a European country or Switzerland).
Proof of Address:
You’ll need a recent bank statement or utility bill (less than three months old) showing your name, address, and the date of issue.
Biometric Facial Recognition:
We’ll do a quick liveness check by comparing a selfie with your ID photo to confirm it’s really you.
Other Requirements:
Employment Field: Let us know your employment field from the dropdown list when prompted, or type it in if it’s not listed.
Additional Documents (EDD): Sometimes, we may need extra documents to make sure everything is in order.
How Does the KYC Process Work?

Choose how you’d like to proceed with your identity verification. You can either use your mobile device (smartphone) or complete the process online via the InstaPay user portal.

From InstaPay User Dashboard: Click the globe icon next to the notification bell at the top center and select your preferred language.
From InstaPay Chatbot: Say "Hi" in the chatbot, then scroll left to "Adjust language settings" and select "Change languages" from the options displayed.
What are the transaction limits on InstaPay?
Transaction limits vary by verification level. Without KYC, the wallet balance is limited to €150/month and transfers are restricted. Completing KYC increases these limits significantly, with daily, weekly, and monthly limits depending on the account tier. Limits also apply to individual transfers and withdrawals, which vary based on the payout method and destination country. How do I clear my InstaPay chatbot messages on Instagram?
Frequent interactions with the InstaPay chatbot can fill up your Instagram messages (DMs or Direct Messages). To clear them:
For iPhone:
Open Instagram and go to your Direct Messages (DMs) by tapping the paper airplane icon.
Swipe left on the InstaPay conversation and tap "Delete."
For Android:
Open Instagram and go to your Direct Messages (DMs).
Press and hold the InstaPay conversation, then tap "Delete."
To restart the conversation, use the Instagram search bar, type “instapay_swiss,” select the profile, click "Message," and say "Hi" to re-engage the chatbot.
